Fat Joe performs “All The Way Up” at Rao’s dinner
It was a typical night at Rao’s legendary Italian eatery in East Harlem… except that Sinatra’s classics were swapped for Fat Joe.
The hip hop star had an entire restaurant in Manhattan sing to his 2017 hit “All The Way Up,” starring Remy Ma, when he stopped at an iconic venue for dinner on Wednesday.
The show took place almost a month after the rapper celebrated his 52nd birthday at the Brooklyn Chop House Times Square.
The song came in and “he started singing it.” The place went wild! They all sang, the spy told Page Six. “The playlist went from Frankie Valli and Frank Sinatra to Fat Joe’s All Up, and he added [verses] outside. Everyone joined in, including the staff, ”our source added.
We hear that Fat Joe was having dinner in an impregnable restaurant with the famous sponsor Ira Judelson and the sons of Judelson. The spy told us that the group was chewing meatballs and noodles while talking about the rapper’s busy schedule, which includes four upcoming shows, a cannabis business, and an animated show with Susan Sarandon.
We hear Fat Joe even grabbed a couple of takeaway meatballs.
Meanwhile, the rapper also has an autumn charity circuit on his calendar: October 29 will be the headliner of the annual Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research Angel Ball event, which returns to Cipriani Wall Street. The ball was at the Hamptons last year. We were told that Chaka Khan would perform and DJ Cassidy would shoot the melodies.
The evening will honor Pauslon & Son President John Paulson, Ellington Management Group CEO Michael Vranos and Sun Capital Partners CEO Marc J. Leder. The party will be hosted by the newlywed Jill Martin from The Today Show.
