FBI records revealed in the fight between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
Angelia Jolie is “desperately trying to find something new” in her ongoing battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt after she allegedly sued the FBI for records she already had, according to sources close to Pitt.
The actress is believed to have filed a lawsuit against the office in April – anonymously like Jane Doe – requesting documents related to the Pitt investigation, reportedly to establish why no criminal charges were brought against her ex after the flight in 2016 led her to file divorce application.
The report, as seen by Page Six, has now been released and shows that the US Assistant Attorney and the US Assistant Chief of Criminal Justice discussed the case in November 2017 before the decision was made not to press charges against Pitt.
In a preliminary FBI report, Jolie told officials she believed Pitt had been “crazy” since boarding a private jet from Nice, France to the US with six children: Maddox, now 21; Pax, 18 years old; Zahara, 17 years old; Shiloh, 16 years old; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14 years old.
During a flight on September 14, 2016, Jolie said her then-husband, who was drinking, took her to the toilet where he “grabbed her head while shaking her” and also shook her shoulders when they argued over one of their children .
She claimed to have hit the ceiling of the plane four times with his fist after telling her, “You’re fucking this family.” When the children asked, “Are you okay, Mommy?” Pitt allegedly replied, “No, it’s not okay, she’s ruining this family, she’s crazy.”
At this point, one of the children – whose name was edited from the report – shouted: “It’s not her, it’s you, you pk!” According to the report. Pitt allegedly ran towards the baby, but Jolie stopped him with injuries to her back and elbow.
She sent the FBI photos of her alleged injuries for a report, as well as children’s diaries.
At another point in the flight, according to an initial FBI report, Jolie said Pitt spilled beer on her while she was trying to sleep.
At the end of the flight, Jolie claimed that Pitt kept the family from leaving the plane for about 20 minutes after she told him she was taking the kids to a hotel in California to rest. She said he was screaming, “You’re not taking my fucking kids,” and that he pushed her.
After the flight, Jolie filed for divorce six days later. Although she and Pitt are now legally divorced, they were still struggling to custody underage children. As page Six revealed earlier this month, the couple were embroiled in yet another legal battle after filing a complaint with the California Attorney General for Stan Katz, a child psychologist who spoke to their underage children after the incident earlier this year.
Newly released FBI documents added: “This author provided both copies of AUSAs with a possible statement of the cause related to this incident. After reviewing the document, a representative of the United States Attorney’s Office discussed the merits of the investigation with a case spokesman. All parties agreed that criminal charges in this case would not be brought for several reasons. “
In 2017, Pitt told GQ that he had stopped drinking, adding: “I stopped everything but drinking when I started a family … I drank too much. It just became a problem. And I’m really glad that half a year has already passed, which is bittersweet, but again I have my feelings at my fingertips. I had to leave for a while. And I could actually drink a Russian under the table with my own vodka. I was a professional. I was good. “
A source close to Pitt insisted that all parties received copies of all incident reports, adding: “Angelina and her team were desperately trying to find something. It’s all for show. That’s all the information she had five and a half years ago. There is nothing new here.
Jolie’s representatives could not comment, while Pitt’s representative declined to comment.
