Abigail Bianchi, a lawyer battling an alcohol addiction, is the protagonist of the legal drama series Family Law, which airs on The CW and is developed by Susin Nielsen.

The entire Family Law series was filmed in British Columbia, more specifically in the greater Vancouver area. Principal photography for the first part of the series began in July 2020 and was completed in September of the same year; However, the second episode was filmed from May to August 2021. Metro Vancouver, British Columbia

Most of the important scenes in “Family Law” were filmed in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, of which Vancouver is the capital. The film’s creators chose to shoot on location in downtown Vancouver due to the location of the law office where the events of the film take place. This decision was made to make the images appear more authentic. Additionally, the house where Abigail resides throughout the series is played by a private home in the Kerrisdale area.

False Creek is a short and narrow waterway separating the Downtown and West End neighborhoods in the city and some episodes of Season 2 were filmed here. The cast and crew will even use locations such as the Vancouver Seawall, the Yaletown neighborhood, Jericho Beach Park and the Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio when filming key scenes.

The third season production team established their base of operations in and around the Vancouver Art Gallery, where they shot scenes in the 1931 Gallery Bistro and North and South Plaza. A sound stage in the town of Langley, originally used as a retail space, is also used by the company. Last but not least, many of the scenes are set against the backdrop of well-known local attractions such as Granville Island and Deep Cove.

Greater Vancouver’s diverse topography, generous tax breaks for filmmakers, and constant supply of skilled performers and crew members make it a popular choice as a backdrop for film and television productions. Family Law Series: Production

Corus Entertainment announced on December 20, 2019 that the series created by Susin Nielsen for SEVEN24 Films and Lark Productions has received a ten episode series order and will air in 2019. The sitcom is both produced and set in Vancouver, in the province of British Columbia. Tom Cox, Jordy Randall and Erin Haskett would serve as executive producers.

In February 2020, it was announced that principal photography would begin on March 2 of the same year. It has been revealed that the main actors are all from Canada; their names are Jewel Staite, Victor Garber, Zach Smadu and Genelle Williams respectively.

In May 2021, before the first episode of the series aired, Global announced that the show had already been renewed for a second season.

On May 17, 2022, Global announced it would be producing a third season, also consisting of ten episodes.

Family Law Series: Release Details

The first episode of the series was broadcast on Sky Investigation in Italy on July 6, 2021.

eOne is responsible for overseeing sales on a global level.

In Australia, the series will be broadcast on the Nine Network.

The series was picked up by The CW in May 2022 in the United States and is scheduled to premiere Sunday nights at 8:00 p.m. beginning October 2, 2022 during the US television network’s 2022-2023 season.
