Floribama Shore canceled after four seasons
Fans will have to say goodbye to Floribama Shore.
MTV canceled the drama-filled series after four seasons, TMZ reported Friday.
According to the newspaper, the cast and crew were made aware of this earlier this morning. However, the reason for its cancellation is still unknown.
Many cast members were reportedly confused by the news as cameras were present during Nilsa Provowant and Gus Gazda’s wedding, which was due to appear in season 5.
Among the news, Prowant published photos of her big day Instagramshown as the film crew standing behind the couple when they said yes.
The show premiered in 2017 and followed a group of young adults having fun in West Florida.
Before it even aired, the show was controversial.
At the time, sources told us that the series had been sent by Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar for allegedly stealing their name.
The bar, which has twice been named America’s Best Beach Bar by Playboy, even launched the #ONLYONEFLORABAMA hashtag campaign, hoping to force MTV executives to rename the reality show.
“We recently learned that MTV and Viacom are using our name and reputation to promote their latest” reality “franchise after we contacted us in 2013 about the same subject,” the owners said in a statement. “We asked them to stop. They refused … There is only ONE Flora-Bam.
Well, five years later, it looks like Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar have won.
