Former socialite Janna Bullock arrested for alleged doping
An Upper East Side socialite was the victim of an alleged assault by her ex-boyfriend.
Flying New York socialite Janna Bullock – who made her fortune flipping homes in Manhattan and Long Island – had her beloved dog Boris picked up from her Hamptons home on posh Meadow Lane on October 23.
Now local cops are telling us that Bullock’s ex-boyfriend Kevin Richards – whom we hear she dated for three years and broke up with more than six months ago – was arrested on November 14 for allegedly kidnapping a dog.
He was charged with grand larceny in the third degree and possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, both felonies.
“Mr. Richards is alleged to steal a dog, half Shih Tzu, half Berna-doodle [sic]worth $5,000… The police recovered the dog and returned the animal to its rightful owner,” reads a Southampton Village Police Department press release.
We have been told that Richards has been released on a fine and is due to appear in court on November 29 at Southampton Village Justice Court.
Bullock posted on social media on the day of the alleged theft: “This morning around 8.30am our poor Boris was stolen from our residence in Southampton”, accusing her former Richards and calling him a “thief” and a “ghost”.
Upper East Side sources who saw the couple in a social circle tell us that Bullock and Richards, whose father was “Tootsie” producer Dick Richards, initially met through mutual friends and dated for about three years. His LinkedIn page lists him as the current CEO of Lambay Irish Whiskey Americas.
A source tells us that Bullock owns several dogs, but Richards may have had a particular fondness for Boris.
Apparently, Richards isn’t the only one in contact with the law: an article in the local newspaper Daily Voice Suffolk paper says he was arrested for shoplifting at a Hamptons Bays Stop & Shop on Oct. 15 for going out with a cart full of items.
He was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree and fired on a report for reporting to a desk.
Both Richards and Bullock did not respond to requests for comment.
