Frances Bean Cobain “wasn’t sure” would make it to her 30th birthday
A year older, a year wiser.
Frances Bean Cobain – daughter of the late singer Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love – admitted that she “wasn’t sure” she would make it to her 30th birthday, which she celebrated Wednesday.
“30 !!! ❤️🔥☀️🦋 I made it! Honestly, 20-year-old Frances wasn’t sure if it would happen, “she wrote in: emotional post on Instagramwhich was accompanied by a few photos of her and her relatives.
“At that time, the inherent sense of deep self-loathing dictated by insecurity, destructive coping mechanisms, and more trauma than my body or brain knew how to deal with, informed me about how I perceive myself and the world; through the prism of resentment for having been put into a life that apparently entailed so much chaos and pain associated with grief that seemed inevitable, ‘the artist continued, referring to the loss of her father at such a young age.
Frances was only 1 year old when Kurt died by suicide at the age of 27.
Frances then detailed how “the event on the plane that brought me closer to death” was the moment when she began to feel gratitude for her life.
“I’m glad I proved I was wrong and found ways to turn pain into knowledge,” she added.
In this new chapter of her life, the late Nirvana frontman’s only child said she hopes to “stay soft, no matter how hardened the world may sometimes be, basking in the present moment with respect, showering people I am lucky to love with more. appreciation than words could ever do justice and leave room for further learning, so growth never stops. ”
In the few photos she shared, Frances was able to pose with her new man, Riley Hawk, who is the son of skateboarder Tony Hawk.
In February, they debuted on Instagram. However, it is not known for how long they have been dating.
Frances’ new relationship emerges years after she filed for divorce from her ex-husband Isaiah Silva. The two ended in 2016 after almost two years of marriage.
After a messy divorce, Silva kept her father’s famous 1959 D-18E guitar, which he claimed to have been given as a wedding gift. Frances denied ever giving him a guitar.
Shortly thereafter, Page Six announced that the guitar was put up for auction.
