Fraser police were called to the area of Garfield and Klein Roads, near Richards Middle School, after one student was stabbed to death and another was seriously injured.
Unconfirmed reports on social media say that at least two youths got into a fight after school that ended with one of them being stabbed. But it is unclear if police have found any suspects or if anyone has been arrested.

Tuesday night, no one from Fraser’s Department of Public Safety would speak to reporters. A police officer said no information was likely to be released until Wednesday. But a district official who spoke on condition of anonymity because of public safety and school leaders would not say anything confirmed that one student had died and another was in serious condition at a Metro Detroit hospital.
According to a note sent home to parents, Fraser school officials confirmed that police told them around 4:45 p.m. about an ongoing event and told them to put the high school on lockdown because of something to the police.

When asked why he told parents Friday night, at 9:30, he said the school administration was cooperating with the police and “accurately assessing the situation and why and how it happened” before that time.
The school was not placed on lockdown because the alleged attacker was with school staff and was taken into custody “immediately” after the incident.
