Freddie Prince Jr. recalls the moment he fell in love with Sarah Michelle Gellar’s wife

It’s common for Hollywood married couples to miss this, but it couldn’t be further from the truth in the case of Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Both great actors in their own right, their romance was so perfect that even some A-listers doubted its authenticity.

But now, after more than 20 years of marital bliss, it’s safe to say they deserve an apology from their opponents

Gellar and Prinze met on the set of the 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer, although they didn’t start dating until three years later.

Admitting that he didn’t think Gellar was eating enough, Prinze Jr. took it upon himself to cook for her.

Prinze was to act as the “chauffeur” for Gellar, who did not have a driver’s license at the time of filming at various locations in North Carolina, such as a convenience store and gym.

“We shot in this crazy little town called (Southport). I drove her to Wilmington every day we had off, every day during rehearsals, and we’d have 55 minutes – if I was driving at the speed limit – to get to know each other,” says Prinze. said ET.

“She was from New York and I’m a kid from SoCal, so we hung out day and night and our philosophy of life never matched. One day it all fell into place and probably three years later we started dating and she’s been my girlfriend ever since.”

The “She’s All That” actor shared his advice on how to lead a happy family life.

“I hesitate to give [relationship] advice because what’s good for me can kill someone else, just like peanut butter,” he said.

“My mom was a chef, I learned to cook, and I married someone who couldn’t cook. So I’m needed. She needs me to live and support herself,” he joked. “Number two is laughter. I still make her laugh.

Gellar and Prinze said yes in September 2002 and welcomed two children: 12-year-old Charlotte and 10-year-old Rocky. They celebrated their groundbreaking anniversary in September.

Apparently, they are still very much in love, as they regularly display plenty of PDA – even if their children are against it.
