Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson marries Róisín O’Mahony
Not as dramatic as the Red Wedding.
Jack Gleeson, who played King Joffrey in Game of Thrones, married Róisín O’Mahona’s girlfriend at a small ceremony in Ireland this weekend.
The priest of the pair revealed exciting news on Twittercalling their wedding “very simple, prayerful and worthy”.
Patsy Lynch’s father posted photos of the couple’s ceremony showing the small church where they took their vows.
The newlyweds held each other at ease, Gleeson wore green buttons and gray pants, and his bride opted for a colorful patterned dress.
Fans of the hit HBO series quickly wished the couple congratulations and commented on Gleeson’s seemingly stark contrast to the villain he played on the show.
“It looks really healthy. Completely different from the character he played in GOT. A wonderful couple! “One user wrote, to which Lynch responded, calling the 30-year-old actor” a very down-to-earth, simple and relaxed person. “
When another user commented on “beautiful wedding” and the photos, Lynch replied, “It was an amazing celebration. Everyone was so relaxed. I will treasure so many memories of this special day. “
Gleeson played in the Emmy-winning franchise from 2011 to 2014 before his character was killed. After playing one of the most hated characters of all time, he decided to take a break from acting.
“I just stopped enjoying it as much as I used to,” said EW in 2014. “It’s not that I hate it, I just don’t want to do it.”
After a six-year hiatus, he has returned to television on the series Out of Her Mind and is set to star in the Land of Saints and Sinners opposite Liam Neeson next year.
