Gayle King flirts with Lenny Kravitz mid-interview
During an interview with rock star Gayle King couldn’t hide her crush on Lenny Kravitz.
“Do you have a significant other in your life and can I kick their ass if I do?” The 69-year-old journalist bluntly asked 59-year-old Kravitz: in “CBS Mornings” Thursday. “Oops, did I say that out loud?”
“Wow,” the “American Woman” singer replied with a laugh, clearly taken aback by the remark.
King explained that she was “non-violent” before insisting, “But do you have a partner? Do you have love in your life?”
Kravitz, who was promoting his 12th studio album “Blue Electric Light,” responded: “Right now I’m just open.”
When King asked if Kravitz was “even looking” for a partner, he replied: “It’s hard not to look.
“When you want something, you look for it, but I have found that when you don’t look for it, you find it.”
The “I Believe in Love Again” singer admitted that in the past he said he was “ready” for a serious relationship, even though he actually wasn’t.
But he added: “But I can say I have never felt the way I feel now.”
Although Kravitz appears to be single, the singer of “Fly Away”. was noticed hanging out with Mexican model Ana Paula Valle in 2023.
It appears the romance is over, as the “Again” singer’s daughter Zoë Kravitz noted during March’s Walk of Fame ceremony that his “relationship with the mesh shirt is probably [his] the longest.”
Lenny was married only once – to Zoë’s mother, Lisa Bonet – from 1987 to 1993.
Kinga, for her part, is also divorced. In the years 1982-1993 she was married to William Bumpus.
Earlier this month, the journalist made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut in a sizzling one-piece, and joked on “Entertainment Tonight” just as she was about to send her ex a copy.
In response, Bumpus told Page Six, “My teenage fantasy of hooking up with a Sports Illustrated model finally came true. Wow! Good for you, Gayle…You look fantastic!”
The former couple has two children: daughter Kirby Bumpus, 38, and son William Bumpus Jr. (37 years old).
