Early years

Willoughby was born in Brighton, East Sussex. She is the younger of two daughters of Brian Willoughby, a sales manager for a double-glazing company, and Linda Willoughby (née Fleming), a former air hostess.

She went to Burgess Hill Girls independent school in West Sussex and The College of Richard Collyer in Horsham for her education.

In 1995, Willoughby was 14 years old when talent scouts spotted him on The Clothes Show Live. They signed her to Storm Management modeling agency. She’s been in magazines for teenage girls like Mizz, Just Seventeen, Shout, and More! Willoughby began modeling bras, underwear, and tights in 1998, when she was 17 years old. She did it for clients like Pretty Polly and appeared in ads and posters.

career

Willoughby won an audition for S Club TV, a CITV show alongside S Club 7 which aired in 2000. In this show, other S Club actors played the roles. She also played the part of Zoe in a show called S Club 7: Artistic Differences with other band members. Willoughby worked briefly as a receptionist and then as a runner for the now-defunct shopping channel Auction World TV.

Willoughby also did odd jobs and started a psychotherapy course through the Open University. Then, when he finally got a job as an assistant manager, he talked a friend into making a showreel of him. This led to him getting an agent, who then contacted the BBC. Later in 2002, Willoughby hosted a fact-based entertainment show for children called Xchange. He also hosted X-perimental and CBBC on Fame Academy, CBBC’s version of the BBC talent show Fame Academy.

Willoughby’s first job as a children’s entertainer was in 2004, when he returned to CITV to co-host the Saturday morning show Ministry of Mayhem. She met her future husband, Dan Baldwin, who is one of the producers of this show, on this show. In 2006, the name of the show was changed to Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown to reflect the popularity of Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, who both host the show.

In 2005, Willoughby hosted Feel the Fear, an entertaining children’s show where the hosts are given terrifying tasks. He also made several small appearances in other children’s shows. Willoughby briefly filled in for Cat Deeley as host of CD:UK in the spring of 2005, before Myleene Klass, Lauren Laverne, and Johny Pitts took over. Willoughby won a BAFTA Children’s Award in 2006 for his work as a children’s television host.

2006–2008

In 2006, he was chosen to co-host the TV show Dancing on Ice with Phillip Schofield. On the show, celebrities are paired with professional dancers to learn ice dancing routines, which are then judged by a panel of experts and voted on by the audience. Willoughby kept the job until 2011, even though he had other things to do. Christine Lampard took his place.

Willoughby hosted several other ITV shows, including spin-offs such as Celebrity Wrestling: Bring It On in 2005, Greased Lightnin’ in 2007, and The Xtra Factor for two years in 2008 and 2009.

She replaced Davina McCall as host of the dating game show Streetmate when it moved from Channel 4 to ITV2 in 2007. The final season of the show was hosted by Willoughby. Willoughby and Fearne Cotton teamed up to host Holly & Fearne Go Dating in the same year. In the show, the two hosts try to set up single people they meet around the UK on dates.

Willoughby has been a team captain on Celebrity Juice since 2008. He hosted series 1–11 and 13–23. (taking a break from series 12 due to maternity leave).

2009–present

Since September 2009, Willoughby has co-hosted ITV’s This Morning with Phillip Schofield. Before that, Fern Britton was in that role.

Willoughby helped host the charity telethon Text Santa with Ant and Dec in 2011. In 2012, 2013, and 2015, he returned to co-host the show with Phillip Schofield.

Willoughby began co-hosting The Voice UK with Reggie Yates on March 24, 2012. She left the show after the second season, and was replaced by Emma Willis in 2014.

Willoughby began hosting a new version of Surprise Surprise in 2012. The second season began on September 15, 2013, the third on October 22, 2014, and the fourth on June 21, 2015.

Willoughby and his sister Kelly have written several books for children. School for Stars: First Term at L’Etoile, their first book, was the best-selling children’s book in the UK in 2013.

Willoughby hosted the ITV sports panel show Play to the Whistle in 2015. The first season consisted of seven episodes, which began airing on 11 April 2015. The second season began with six episodes in April 2016, and the third season with six episodes began. in 2017.

In 2016, Willoughby hosted the ITV show Meet the Parents, a Saturday night dating show. People say the show is like Blind Date.

In August 2017, Willoughby was said to have received a £200,000 pay rise to match the salary of his co-host Phillip Schofield.

In January 2018, she returned to host Dancing on Ice with the new season of Schofield.

In August 2018, it was announced that Willoughby and Declan Donnelly would host the 18th season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! while Anthony McPartlin took a year off.
