Ryan Dorsey spent a month helping his and late Naya Rivera’s son Josey on his seventh birthday.
The actor took a peek at the toddler’s celebration on Friday by posting an Instagram video Josey throwing the first court during a September 17 baseball game.
“My guy went out there for the first time, almost like his whole life !!” A 39-year-old graduate of “Ray Donovan” described material from the past.
“A big thank you to @dirtybirdscwv for making this special moment happen to JoJo on his big day!” Dorsey continued.
The day before, “Justified” alum posted a slideshow on social mediafeaturing photos of Josey blowing out the candle on Batman’s birthday cake.
“@Joseydorsey My sweet 7-year-old, too quickly smart boy 🌞 I love you more than the earth loves the sun, my son🌞❤️😚” wrote Dorsey in the Thursday message.
Josey’s dog, Clifford, also made an appearance in the post, two weeks after his dad bought her as a birthday present.
dog debuted on Instagram On September 16, with the star of “Big Heaven” he writes: “She is the sweetest girl. [Josey] he said whether it was a boy or a girl, he called it CLIFFORD! “
Dorsey noted that the dog was originally called Goldie and “called her Goldie Bear” himself.
The “Blood Father” star frequently documents his son’s milestones on Instagram, from entering first class in August to cycling in February.
Rivera gave birth to Josey in September 2015, and the mother-son couple were together on Lake Piru, California, when alum “Glee” died in July 2022 at the age of 33.
The late actress put her son safely in the pontoon boat they hired before drowning, leading her ex-fiancé, Big Sean, to call her a “hero” in a touching tribute.
“Thank you for the blessing to all of us,” the 34-year-old wrote on Instagram at the time. “I am praying for you and your family and I know yours [sic] watching over them and protecting them ”.
The rapper was in a relationship with the actress from 2013 to 2014. Following their breakup, Rivera reunited with Dorsey, whom she briefly dated in 2010.
Rivera and Dorsey got married in July 2014, separated in 2016, and canceled their breakup the following year. The recurrent, unstable couple finally divorced in 2018.
Dorsey honored Rivera on Mother’s Day in May, writing“Lots of time for water works, but not now. I fight it and I get it.
“I have to go on with my day and … all we can do is go on, go on while we can.”
