How do you get Minecraft mods?
How do you get Minecraft mods?
This section only covers using Forge with the default Minecraft launcher.
received mods
The mods must be downloaded from CurseForge or the creator’s official website. If you do this, you can be sure that you will not get any virus or corrupted data.
Once you’ve decided on a mod, click on the name to go to the mod’s page.
To view the versions, go to the Files tab. Click the download button to the right of the version you want to download. It is recommended to download the latest Minecraft update.
Return to the edit page and select the Relationships tab. This is significant as these are the modifications required for it to function properly. If you don’t download the dependencies, the mod will not work properly and may crash the game.

Common problems
- We’ve listed some of the most common issues below, but don’t worry! We also provided some solutions!
- Minecraft crashes on startup.
- When Minecraft is launched for the first time, it may crash due to various issues.
- In this case, make sure that all your modules are compatible with the correct Forge version, that there are no duplicate files and that no dependencies are required.
- To see if mods are causing the issue, launch the game with no mods loaded.
- If you still can’t figure out what the problem is, you can undo the changes one at a time.
- Although this procedure can take time, it is effective.
Loading mod rejects
If a mod is rejected, it means that its version is different from the server’s, that a mod is missing from your client version, or that both are present. Make sure your client-side and server-side mods folders are similar, except for client-side mods only.
Mods on this server require FML/Forge to be installed on the client.
This means Forge is completely absent from your Minecraft client. You are most likely running the wrong version. Close the client and verify that Forge is running; if it doesn’t appear in the list of achievements, Forge needs to be reinstalled.
