Netflix now has Never Have I Ever Season 3 available to watch. The Mindy Kaling sitcom is back with a bang for another episode that will delve deeper into the life of clueless Native American adolescent Devi after a tumultuous second season.
Devi tries to survive high school as an unpopular nerdy kid eager to enjoy the standard high school experience every teenager hopes for, while constantly under the watchful eye of her incredibly strict and controlling mother, Nalini . Never Have I Ever season 3 opened with Paxton and Devi announcing their engagement. What surprises await us in the second episode?
In Episode 2 of Never Have I Ever Season 3, Devi discovers the troll.
The first episode of Never Have I Ever featured an unidentified lyricist warning Devi about Paxton. Despite the fact that there are many trolls in the social media space, this one seems legit. After initially being dubious, Devi quickly comes to Paxton’s defense in Episode 2 after the troll warned her that he is not who she thinks he is.
Paxton encourages Devi not to when he finds out about the anonymous texter because he also gets troll texts about Devi but ignores them. However, Devi cannot overcome this. Devi goes on a quest to identify the troll with the help of her friends and Lady Whistle Boy. Devi suddenly learns the lyricist was Haley, a girl from their orchestral group, after they narrowed the search down to the four women Paxton was dating.
Haley confesses that Paxton ghosted her after they met when Devi questions her about it. Devi is concerned about this and takes it to Paxton who, although initially combative, admits to being rude. He apologizes to Haley after being persuaded to do so by Devi. The pair reconciled a little too quickly for Devi’s liking, and soon she began to feel uncomfortable.
In other news, Nirmala is still upset that Prashant was exposed by her marriage-phobic granddaughter, Kamala. She makes the decision to host a mixer for her and invites every suitable Indian bachelor she knows. While dodging suitors, an unexpected visitor appears, which Kamala is pleased to see. Manish, Devi’s instructor, is who it is after all.
However, Nirmala is unfazed by Manish because he was alienated from his Native American heritage, and she demands that her granddaughter choose someone from the people she invited. At Kamala’s meeting, Nalini also finds a new buddy. Before Nalini found out that Rhyah was a nutritionist working in the wellness industry, she and Nirmala’s guest Rhyah seemed to get along well.
Ben makes the decision to go to Anessa’s soccer game, but he’s busy texting Devi and misses his girlfriend’s crucial goal. When he compliments her in a generic way while Fabiola raves about Anessa’s excellent game, Anessa realizes this and gets angry with him. Anessa kisses Fabiola when she is overcome with emotion, which shocks her.
