Baghdad, Sep 25 (IANS) One soldier and two Islamic State (IS) aggressors were killed in clashes north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the Iraqi military said.
In the light of intelligence reports, an Iraqi armed force pursued an IS safe-house in dense plantations in the Tarmiyah region, about 30 km north of Baghdad, the media office of the Iraqi Joint Tasks Order said ( JOC) in an explanation on Saturday.

During the clashes, the force killed two IS assailants, one of whom was wearing an unstable belt, while a soldier was killed and an officer was injured, the explanation added.
On Saturday, Iraqi contender jets carried out two airstrikes on an IS hideout in a region of the country in the eastern Iraqi territory of Diyala, wiping out the hideout, the JOC said in a separate statement.
The assertion did not provide additional insights about the contractions, adding more data will be delivered later, the Xinhua news organization detailed.
In recent months, Iraqi security forces have led efforts against radical insurgents to get serious about their increased training.
The security situation in Iraq has been improving since the disappearance of IS in 2017. However, its remnants have dissolved into metropolitan, desert, and rugged regional foci, frequenting guerrilla attacks against the powers of security and regular people.
