Harriet has had a busy year on the show. Summer got hit by a car, her dad got a divorce, she got a new boyfriend, and she was in big storylines about diabetes and hate crimes.

Harriet, who is managed by Red Door Management, said, “That plot was huge, and our young cast worked really hard to tell that story. The Sophie Lancaster Foundation is based on her story, so we worked with them.
“They and Sophie’s mom helped us get it right. We all felt like we were a part of something important when we were on the show.
“In the world we live in now, it’s easy to pick on people for being different, but Coronation Street loves people for being different, which is why the show is so important. People said it was great to share that story on such a large platform. It got a great response on social media.
