Is Maddie Kirker, a meteorologist, leaving WTKR? Why? What Will She Do Next?
Maddie Kirker joined the First Warning Weather Team in April 2019. She provides weather forecasts for News 3 at noon and 4 p.m.
Prior to joining News 3, she spent three years as the weekend morning meteorologist at FOX21 News in Colorado Springs.
She spent three seasons covering tropical cyclones as the Morning Meteorologist at ABC15 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, before reporting on blizzards and wildfires in southern Colorado.
After working for WTKR for three years, meteorologist Maddie Kirker is leaving.
Co-anchor Blaine Stewart of WTKR said his final goodbyes to meteorologist Maddie as she leaves the network after three amazing years of service.
Stewart claims, “It’s never easy to say goodbye, especially when the departing someone is as considerate and wise as @MaddieKirker. As our friend and coworker departs with Chester the Weather Dog on their next thrilling adventure, we would want to say goodbye.”
Below the message, the anchor’s supporters also bid their goodbyes. However, one user remarked, “They are sadly missed.” I wish them both a bright future filled with success.”
Another adds, “Oh no. I’ll miss talking to them.”
A third person declares, “I was unsure of her departure date for @ToddCorillo. I had them as a pair in my head.”
Maddie Kirker: Where Is She Going Now?
Maddie urged her Instagram followers to follow her as she would reveal her and Chester the Weather Dog’s next destination. On July 24, she teased her fans in a lengthy post that she would be leaving the network.
Chester and I are leaving @wtkr3 in a few weeks, she writes. Three years have miraculously passed. from the coast to the mountains, passing through seven different cities. I will always have a particular place in my heart for the experiences I’ve built here.”
“At the very least, please know how much Chester and I value your love and support. Saturday, August 6 will be our final day. Keep an eye out for our next destination as Chester, the Weather Dog, and I travel!”
Maddie Kirker Has a Husband, Married?

Maddie hasn’t provided a lot of information about her personal life, but she has talked about a happy life event—watching her best friend get married.
You did read that correctly. She posted a picture of Ksee24 anchor Jennifer N. Ortega and her companion from the wedding.
“We can’t stop and won’t stop!” she writes. @jennifernortega, you have my undying love.”
She published a similar article on March 23, 2018, commenting, “It makes me so happy to submit this! I adore you, Jenni Fernandez, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have shared in your special day. Oh, and “Kirkertega” can be removed from the state of Mississippi but not the other way around.
She has a degree in broadcast meteorology, according to Wikipedia.
