How did Savannah Paschal die?
Savannah Kinchen’s parents, Michael and Shirley Kinchen, welcomed her into the world in August 1990 in Pasadena, Texas. As a child, she was involved in a variety of sports and activities, including gymnastics, swimming, dancing, and horseback riding. The 30-year-old woman was known to be kind, compassionate and helpful, and had a soft spot for stray and abandoned animals. She was a student at the Commonwealth School of Mortuary Science in Texas at the time of the incident and was scheduled to graduate in May 2021.
In addition, Savannah was married to Trent Paschal, and the couple had two children together: a son and a daughter. On October 21, 2020, the authorities had to rush to the home of the Paschal family in La Marque. Shirley Kinchen spotted her daughter Savannah motionless in the bedroom. Savannah had been in there for a while. Who Killed Savannah Paschal?
Shirley Kinchen, who was at the home at the time of the attack, immediately stated that the perpetrator of the crime was Savannah’s husband, Trent. It was brought to her attention that Trent had been hiding in the master bedroom toilet before suddenly appearing and threatening to kill her and Savannah. Shirley managed to escape from the house and had just started running when she heard two bullets go off. While Trent was gone, Shirley went out to eat and later returned to find her daughter bleeding on the floor. After that, Trent was in Houston, Texas, where he resisted being taken into custody. He was eventually killed after being accused of drawing a gun on a police officer at the moment he was shot.
Afterwards, Trent was taken to the hospital, where he remained for an extended period of time during his recovery. Meanwhile, authorities uncovered evidence that helped them understand the reasons behind the shooting. They were informed by a neighbor that he had witnessed an argument between Trent and Savannah the morning of the incident and that Trent left the house after the argument. Afterwards, Savannah went to a nearby neighbor’s house before returning with her mother. Authorities were under the impression that Trent had been waiting for them in the nearby bathroom stall.
Shirley later revealed that her daughter had informed Trent that she could no longer live with him as he was a repeat offender. Despite the fact that Trent had previously been accused of theft, he had never been accused of anything aggressive to this day. Investigators also discovered a video that Trent had shot and then uploaded to YouTube. In it, he told his daughter that he loved her and was proud to be her father. In another part of the video, Trent credited Savannah by saying, “I knew she was kind of too young. I didn’t, and she took advantage of me all the time. I warned her not to manipulate me, not to interfere with my feelings, and she ignored my warnings. Please don’t make fun of me.
Trent also claimed he overheard Savannah discussing a sexual fantasy with another man while they were on the phone together. A video allegedly obtained from one of the neighbors shows Trent chatting with Savannah’s aunt and confessing to shooting his wife. The footage was taken by one of the neighbors. After posting bail and being released from prison in April 2021, Trent removed the ankle monitor that was attached to him during his incarceration and then went to a Houston auto dealership that sold cars. There Trent is said to have asked for a test drive, after which he is accused of threatening the seller with a gun and forcing him out of the vehicle before driving away with it.
How did Trent Paschalis die?
Towards the end of 2021, authorities were given a tip indicating that Trent, then 48, resided at an RV park in Ocala, Florida. At that point he had been on the run for about nine months and a little longer. Therefore, on December 31, 2021, authorities went to the park and ordered Trent to get out of the van he was living in at the time. However, they heard a shot and when they checked on him later, they found he had shot himself in the head.
Although Trent had already broken two of the terms of his bond, the judge did not revoke his parole before fleeing the area with two firearms in his possession. Shirley felt the system was ineffective and she asked, “Did I want him to be held accountable for his actions?” Did I have the courage to meet his gaze and force him to deal with the consequences again to confront his actions? Yes. Do you feel bad that he’s not part of this world anymore? No.”
