James Tupper claims that Anne Heche’s son, Homer, was “hostile” to her brother

Anne Heche’s ex-boyfriend James Tupper fights his eldest son, Homer Laffoon, at every turn.
According to court documents obtained on Monday by Page Six, James – who shared Atlas Tupper’s 13-year-old son with a deceased actress – formally opposed Laffoon’s recent request to “extend his powers” as special administrator of the Heche estate.
James claimed Laffoon had “broken a few promises” to his half-brother by failing to provide him with “an inventory list and photos of tangible personal property,” which the 20-year-old said is still in Heche’s apartment.
Moreover, James, 57, claimed that Laffoon had “acted hostile to Atlas” since the inheritance proceedings began “and refused to contact him or his representatives at all.”
James insisted that his son “did not trust Laffoon’s ability to meet his fiduciary obligations to Atlas”, pointing out that Laffoon had recently asked the court for certain permissions which apparently already made him special administrator.
James further argued that said request “underlines” [Laffoon’s] lack of competence and inability to preserve immovable property ”and accused Laffoon of“ wasteful and unnecessary litigation ”.
James asked the court to force Laffoon to hand over the requested inventory list to Atlas before extending his powers “so that it can be determined whether the Laffoon actually protects all [Heche’s] Personal property in the future and conflicts can be minimized. “
In addition, James demanded that the bail be set at $ 2 million instead of the $ 800,000 requested by Laffoon, as “no evidence of such information was brought to court, James or Atlas to justify” the latter amount.
James and Homer – whom Heche shared with ex-husband Coleman Laffoon – have been in a legal battle for control of her estate as well as for the title of legal guardian for Atlas since her death on August 12 in a fiery car accident at the airport. age 53.
James was denied custody of his own son earlier this month.
