In a since-deleted tweet on Oct. 8, the rapper wrote that he was “doing a Death Con 3 against the Jews,” adding that “you guys played with me and tried to beat up anyone who opposes your plans.”

In response to Kanye’s statement, many condemned the rapper, p Jamie Lee Curtis a tweet“The holiest day in Judaism was last week. Words matter. The threat to the Jewish people once ended in genocide. Your words hurt and incite violence. You are a father. Please stop.”

Meanwhile, Sarah Silverman expressed her disappointment with his statement. “Kanye Threatened Jews Yesterday On Twitter And It’s Not Even Trending,” Comedian wrote October 9. “Why is it mostly only Jews who speak out against Jew-hatred? The silence is so loud.”

With an emphasis on unity, Maria Shriver also made a statement, writing“We all have to understand this. Such threats and such language should be condemned by all parties and all faiths. We should never have to go through something like this.”
