Jason Momoa adopts a wild pig after meeting her on the set of his new movie
Jason Momoa has a new roommate – he looks a little different than you might expect.
The “Aquaman” star revealed that he adopted a wild pig after meeting the animal on the set of his new Netflix project “Slumberland”.
The self-proclaimed animal lover couldn’t help but take the pig home with him, telling fans that he narrowed the possible names down to two options: Lau Lau and Manapua – both popular Hawaiian dishes often contain pork.
“That’s why I can’t work with animals. I want to take them home. Wild and wild like his pops, ”he wrote on Instagram next to a video of him and the pig that he eventually named Manapua.
In the sweet music video, the 43-year-old “Game of Thrones” actor asked Manapua if he wanted to be his plus at the premiere of “Slumberland”.
“We can paint your nails pink and put a little top hat on you,” Momoa said to the pig.
Off the camera, you could hear actor Coni Momoa’s mom interfere: “I think that would be a bit over the top, since you just have him.”
“Well mom, I’m a bit over the top,” Momoa replied.
Momoa’s latest cinematic venture tells the story of a little girl named Nemo, played by Marlow Barkley, whose teddy pig comes to life at night. Momoa’s genie-like character helps the girl travel through her dreams.
The “Courageous” actor spoke openly about his love for animals, telling stories Ellen DeGeneres in 2019 that he shares a donkey, two half-wolves, a ball python and a dog with his ex-wife Lisa Bonet.
Momoa announced in a deleted January post on Instagram that he and Bonet, 54, had decided to part ways after 17 years and more than four years of marriage.
The couple have a daughter, Lola (14) and a son, Nakoa-Wolf (13).
