Jelly Roll claims that marijuana allowed him to “sober up” from hard drugs

Country star Jelly Roll admitted that marijuana keeps him away from hard drugs.
“I guess in a world without weed, Jelly Roll drinks codeine, pops Xanax, and snorts cocaine again, but in a world with weed, he’ll be fine.” said Taste of Country in an interview published on Friday.
“I still get into trouble for this, but my position on marijuana will always be the same: I believe that marijuana has helped me in many ways, including with anxiety,” he added.
“It’s a hot topic, but marijuana has actually allowed me to stay sober.”

“But I think that’s what makes me the perfect person to talk about it. I was part of the problem. I stand here now as a man who wants to be part of the solution.”
Last December, Jelly Roll he told People that it is extremely important to him to use his platform for good and give people struggling with drug abuse a chance to live fulfilling lives.
“I always said that if I was ever in a situation like that, I would do everything I could to give back,” he explained. “The fact that just by showing up in places can make people happy is a huge gift and I feel like if God gave me that gift, I should show up there.”
Jelly Roll, who recently admitted that he hates most of his tattoos, was imprisoned several times on drug-related charges before becoming a successful ACM Award-winning artist. Problems with the law even deprived him of the right to vote.
However, he obtained his GED in prison at the age of 23 and worked to make his life meaningful and full.
In addition to crediting weed with helping him stay sober from hard drugs, he also praised his wife of eight years, Bunnie XO, for helping him stay on a positive path and making it possible to raise his daughter Bailee and son Noah.

“Without her, I would never have gotten custody of my daughter. I would have no stability or money.
Bunnie XO, 44, also supports Jelly Roll as he focuses on his physical health. In 2018, he revealed that after tipping the scales at over 500, he lost about 200 pounds.
Last month she revealed he had quit social media after repeated negative comments about his size “hurt him”.
