Don’t count on Jenelle Evans.
The 30-year-old reality star will be no appearing on the new reality show Teen Mom: The Next Chapter – which combines OG Teen Mum and Teen Momma 2 – after failing to agree on a deal. TMZ reported Tuesday.
MTV reportedly wanted to sign a “Teen Mom 2” loyalty as part of an exclusive deal, but its manager insisted it “would limit other career options for Jenelle.”
That doesn’t mean, however, that a mom of three is abandoning reality TV for good, as she is apparently “developing a new dynamic series but is keeping the concept a secret for now.”
Her manager cried out that his client’s program would be picked up by the “serious network.”
The star previously tried to maintain fame thanks to the YouTube channel, and recently launched a OnlyFans account where she posts content with her husband, David Eason.
This news comes after ex-partner Leah Messer said she would love to have Evans back on the show.
“I think I can’t wait to see where she is in her life and whatever the directors ultimately decide is what they decide. I wish her all the best, ”said Messer Page Six, although she hasn’t been friends with 30-year-old Evans since the latter was fired by MTV in 2019.
“I haven’t spoken to Jenelle in a very long time. She was one of the original cast [members] show. And I knew her very well then, ”she continued. “I do not know [her] currently. Honestly, at the moment I don’t have a relationship with her. “
Evans first rose to fame when she appeared in “16 & Pregnant” expecting her son, Jace Vahn Evans. She then starred in “Teen Mom 2” opposite Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer and Chelsea DeBoer.
But her time on the show was not without controversy.
In 2019, the network severed ties with her after her husband David Eason confessed to killing their family dog for allegedly biting their daughter Ensley, who was then 2 years old.
One’s father was the subject of an animal cruelty investigation by authorities in North Carolina. MTV had severed ties with Eason the year before after it posted homophobic tweets.
Evans – who also shares Kaiser’s son with ex-Nathan Griffith – talked about her battle against drugs in her 2017 book, Read Between the Lines: From a Teen Mom’s Diary.
She also admitted that after the birth of her daughter, tests showed the presence of the drug in cannabis.
