Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling Honor 90210 Co-Star Denise Dowse

The Beverly Hills, 90210 a family mourns the loss of one of their own.

Tori Spelling and Jenny Hart honored their colleague Denise Dowsewho played vice principal Mrs. Teasley in the cult 90s show after her sister, Tracy Dawesannounced that she died of meningitis last week.

“We’re so shocked,” Hart shared during the Aug. 16 episode 90210 MG podcast. “She was only 64 years old. It came out of nowhere. I read that she was suffering, battling meningitis. And it was like it caused her body to shut down and she went into a coma and she never woke up. It’s unbelievable to me and I don’t I can only imagine how devastated her family is, her sister. Everyone who knew her. It was just shocking news. Deaths like this are the hardest.”

The women recalled the time they spent on set working with Dawes, with Garth saying that she “was your oldest friend, and she would just show up on set and then do a scene, and then it was like , that it was just so natural to be around her and work with her so easily.”
