Jennifer Hudson celebrates EGOT’s victory after Tony arrives by mail

It’s a dream girl!

After winning the 2022 Tony Awards as Producer on “A Strange Loop” which won the Best Musical Award, Jennifer Hudson received her physical award by mail and i took to instagram on friday to share a snap her holding a trophy – which also quite literally solidifies her hard-won EGOT status.

“Look what came yal !!!” she signed a photo for which she posed with her Tony in a buttoned purple dress.

The 40-year-old, ambiguous artist caught Tony vis-à-vis her role as one of the Broadway producers in the critically acclaimed, Pulitzer-winning musical “A Strange Loop,” with industry legends such as Billy Porter, RuPaul, Don Cheadle and Mindy Kaling being also producers of the series.

Named one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2020 according to Time, Hudson began amassing the four high-profile wins required for a full EGOT – short for the iconic entertainment industry awards Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony – after winning Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars at 2007 for the 2006 musical drama “Dreamgirls”.

Soon after taking home her first Oscar, Hudson (pictured at the 2009 Grammy) won her first Grammy Award at the 2009 ceremony, winning Best R&B Album.
