Jennifer Lopez Says She Feels ‘Misunderstood Sometimes’ Amid Ben Affleck’s Breakup Rumors

Jennifer Lopez said she “feels misunderstood sometimes” when comparing herself to her character in her new sci-fi film “Atlas.”

“We are so different because she has no emotions on her face.” – she explained to People at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on Monday. “She’s so withdrawn and sometimes I get too emotional.”

Lopez went on to say that she, like her “Atlas” character, is “very strong and confident about something [she] feel[s]”

“Sometimes. She was very sure of it,” she noted. “She thought, ‘This is what’s happening, please listen to me.’ Please tell me.’ And I felt very misunderstood at times. I can relate to that a little bit too.”

The 54-year-old star’s comments about feeling misunderstood come as she reviews rumors surrounding her relationship with Ben Affleck, whom she married in July 2022.

Last week, Page Six learned that Affleck, 51, was house hunting in the Los Angeles area, and Lopez was spotted looking at properties alone.

However, the insider claimed that he was interested in purchasing an investment property and that his search had nothing to do with the divorce rumors.

Moreover, a source told Us Weekly that the couple began experiencing intense marital problems “a few months ago.”

The fact that the “On the Floor” hitmaker “liked” an Instagram post describing a partner with unhealthy traits has only fueled divisive speculation.

And while the “Gigli” stars were spotted together for the first time in over a month last Thursday and then again at a movie party on Sunday, a source close to Affleck’s camp told Page Six on Monday that they are re-evaluating their relationship.

“If there was a way to divorce him on the grounds of temporary insanity, he would do it,” the source said.

“He feels like the last two years have been just a fever dream, and now he’s come to his senses and realizes there’s no way this is going to work.”

Similarly, a source told “Entertainment Tonight” On Tuesday, Affleck said Lopez “finds it hard to feel satisfied and that’s one of the issues they’re facing.”

Split rumors first emerged when Lopez appeared at the 2024 Met Gala solo on May 6.

She also appeared at the Monday premiere of “Atlas”. However, her wedding ring was fully visible.

It was later confirmed that Affleck was too busy filming his next project, “The Accountant 2,” to make it to either event.
