Jessica Simpson celebrates the birthday of Ashlee Simpson’s son Bronx
Jessica Simpson celebrated her nephew Bronx’s 14th birthday by posting a sweet photo on her Instagram on Monday.
“Happy 14th Birthday BX!!! I love you so much,” she wrote next to the photo with sister Ashlee Simpson’s son. “You are a gift to everyone who is lucky enough to know you, love you and be loved by you.”
The “Irresistible” singer also spoke about how important it is for her to be his aunt.
“Being your aunt…was…WILL ALWAYS BE…one of the most precious blessings of my life! Thank you for being yourself! 💚🎉💫”
Jessica also sent some love to a Bronx mom, writing: “@ashleesimpsonross you are my role model.”
The 42-year-old fashionista helped celebrate the Bronx’s big day in jeans and a leather jacket. Meanwhile, the birthday boy enjoyed a Christmas cake on this occasion.
Ashlee, 38, shares the Bronx with ex-husband Pete Wentz. They were married from 2008 to 2011.
She also has two children – daughter Jagger, 7, and son Ziggy, 2 – with husband Evan Ross. She and Ross, 34, married in 2014.
Jessica made headlines earlier this month when she acted strangely during a Pottery Barn commercial. Several concerned fans pointed out that Jessica was apparently babbling while others commented on her weight.
“Wtf happened to her face. He barely speaks. Shame,” someone wrote, while another added, “With all due respect…looks frail.”
The pop star was quick to respond to the backlash, sharing that she was “angry” and “stand up” after being ridiculed for her appearance and “weird” form.
“Although I’ve learned to block out disruptive noise…people’s comments and judgments can still be deeply hurt by their constant nagging, ‘You’ll never be good enough,'” she said.
She continued: “I woke up anxious and insecure at the same time, but also angry and defensive – like some of you. I know what works for me, which is to let go and just sing, looking directly into the mirror, right in the eye, to really see and understand myself. I can connect to my heartbeat. I am stable and strong. I’m home.”
She also unsettled followers when she gibbered through a Flonaza ad.
The fashion designer has spoken openly about her struggles with addiction and has opened up about her use of pills and alcohol in her 2020 memoir “Open Book”.
Jessica has three children – Maxwell, 10, Ace, 9, and Birdie, 3 – with her husband Eric Johnson. She and Johnson, 43, married in July 2014.
