Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck announce a concert in New York, embarking on a US tour
Beck to the basics.
Turn-rock actor Johnny Depp teamed up with Jeff Beck as the pair embarked on their North American tour last week before heading to New York City.
The duo will take the stage in back-to-back performances at The most important! in Huntington, Long Island on October 14th and 15th. The program will feature a special guest, Desure.
Tickets for each concert are nearly sold out with resale tickets ranging from $ 214 to $ 746 in VIP packages, according to Ticketmaster.
Only seven tickets remained at face value between the two shows. The facility can accommodate 1,573 people.
Beck and Depp kicked off their 29-date tour on September 23 near Austin, Texas, which will run through November 12 and end in Reno, Nevada.
Depp, 59, performed several times this year with Beck, 78, including on the recent Rock & Roll Hall of Famer tour in the UK.
The duo’s performance attracted a lot of attention as it took place while Depp was awaiting the jury’s decision in his bombing lawsuit for defamation against ex-wife Amber Heard.
The couple performed together several times earlier this year, and on July 15 they released an album called “18”.
Eight-time Grammy Award winner Beck has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice; in 1992, and in 2009, when Depp worked in the music scene for years. He even formed the Hollywood Vampires band with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry from Aerosmith.
Depp and Beck’s album was released just weeks after the actor won his widely publicized trial against Heard.
Depp originally sued Heard for $ 50 million in 2019, claiming the actress had lied about using him to get more money in a divorce settlement. A year later, his ex-wife sued him for $ 100 million.
Ultimately, a jury ordered Heard to pay the 59-year-old actor $ 10 million in damages and $ 350,000 in criminal damages after deciding that she defamed the actor in A 2018 article written for The Washington Post.
But after she filed a counterclaim in which Depp was ordered to pay $ 2 million and the state of Virginia cut damages, Heard had to pay $ 5 million – money he claims he doesn’t have.
I have heard from asked the judge to throw the jury verdict claiming the judgment was not supported by evidence.
