Jon Bon Jovi gushes over his son Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown’s ‘small family wedding’
Jon Bon Jovi is the proud father of the groom.
The rocker gushed over his son Jake Bongiovi’s wedding to Millie Bobby Brown after the couple quietly walked down the aisle earlier this month.
“They’re great, they’re absolutely fantastic” – Bon Jovi, 62, he told BBC’s The One Show on Tuesday.
“It was a very small, family wedding, the bride looked gorgeous and Jake was happy as can be.”
Last Friday, reports surfaced that the 20-year-old “Stranger Things” actress and the 22-year-old model secretly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.
“They are planning a bigger ceremony in the US later this year, but now they are legally married and have taken care of all the formalities,” an insider told the US Sun.
“It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their immediate family as they exchanged vows.”
That same day, the newlyweds were spotted shopping in the Hamptons, rocking their wedding rings in their first public outing since saying “I do.”
They seemed happy, and a smiling Brown even thanked the paparazzi who congratulated them on their surprise nuptials.
The “Damsel” star and her new husband sparked romance rumors in June 2021 after Bongiovi shared a photo of them in a car with the caption, “best boy <3."
In November, they officially presented themselves on Instagram.
Brown revealed her engagement in April 2023, sharing a black-and-white photo of Jake hugging her. She showed off her stunning diamond This finger, smiling broadly.
“I’ve loved you for three years now, baby, I want them all 🤍,” she wrote in the caption, quoting Taylor Swift’s song “Lover.”
Before the wedding, Bon Jovi expressed his excitement over their relationship.
“I’ve gotten to know her over the last year, she’s a really hard worker, and she and Jake are going to grow together in their own way,” he told the Los Angeles Times in April.
“This is an accelerated version of what I went through 40 years ago, and I think with the support of the family around them, they will be great together.”
Brown previously confirmed that the Grammy-winning musician has no plans to perform at their wedding.
