Jon Hamm agreed to be in “Bridesmaids” without a contract as a “favor” to Kristen Wiig

It’s been over 11 years since we saw Jon Hamm’s hilarious side in “Bridesmaids” – proving he has so much more to his acting toolbox than just Don Draper-style roles.

The Emmy-winning actor played a fairly prominent role in the blockbuster 2011 film. But to the surprise of many, Hamm revealed that he didn’t really get anything for his role in the movie.

The film features Ham’s character, Ted, who is the protagonist of Kristen Wiig, whom Annie Walker has fallen in love with and is a “friend with benefits.”

Hamm is the playboy type in the movie because Annie always misses a more serious connection between the two. Ted does not reciprocate, who is also interested in having sexual intercourse with Annie.

But while Hamma’s supporting role in the movie turned out to be one of the most beloved scenes in the movie, the actor recently revealed that he agreed to star in the movie without seeing the script or signing a contract.

“I made this movie before the part came out, before the script was made, I said yes to him. AND [my] the agents said, “Oh, well, shit. How do you know we ask for money? And I was like, “Don’t worry about it. Just let me play with my friends, said Hamm SiriusXM “Pop Culture Honorable Mention with Jessica Shaw”.

The “Mad Men” star said he could not say no to Wiig after they forged a friendship while hosting “SNL” in 2010.

“We were in a few skits together and we got along like in a burning house and she said,“ Could you be in my movie? Please be in my movie. You know, nobody knew it was going to be a global success. But I knew it would be fun. And especially with this cast, I thought, “Of course, of course. Are you joking? Thanks for asking. Of course I will.

In the movie, Wiig’s star is a baker trying to plan a wedding for his best friend Lillian (played by Saturday Night Live’s friend Maya Rudolph). Wiig’s character rivals Lillian’s wealthy younger friend Helen (Rose Byrne).

The blockbuster also stars the comedic talents of Melissa McCarthy, Rebel Wilson, Chris O’Dowd, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper.

“I drive most of the time [my agents] crazy because I say yes to everything, you know? I always show up on other people’s podcasts or whatever, ”continued Hamm. “But that’s what I like to do. I enjoy interacting with the people I work with and have had amazing, fun experiences there.

“And such things turn into other things. And you know, such things cannot be measured. “
