Julia Fox’s advice for new moms is as daring as you’d expect

When it comes to expanding borders, Julia Fox it’s not just about testing the limits of fashion (and duct tape!).

In an exclusive interview with E! News, in Uncut gemstones actress who has a 20-month-old son Valentino with ex Petro Artemiev— shared how she is redefining what it means to be a mother, and why she is not afraid to overcome barriers in this process.

“I’ve always resented the fact that when women give birth to children, they suddenly become mothers to them,” she explained. “Sometimes you have to choose yourself.”

It’s not about being selfish, she continued, but rather that “you have to be the best version of yourself. If you make all these sacrifices and, in turn, you are unhappy, then it shows. You’re projecting it onto your child, and you don’t even realize you’re doing it.”

The 32-year-old said she believes children need to know that their “mum has her own life and her own things”, adding: “I think a lot of kids don’t really take what their mums do as professionals . . This needs to be put to an end.”
