Kanye West abandoned by divorce lawyers due to anti-Semitic remarks
Kanye West was abandoned by his high-ranking divorce attorneys amid his ongoing anti-Semitic tirades.
The rapper was abandoned by a number of associates – such as Gap, Vogue and Balenciaga – after he made a tirade on social media saying he was gearing up to “death con 3 on the Jewish people.”
Now founder of Yeezy, who is also facing a reaction to the “White Lives Matter” T-shirts, will have to find new divorce attorneys in his ongoing battle against Kim Kardashian.
He was represented by elite divorce attorneys Bernard Clair and Bob Cohen at the prestigious New York City Cohen Clair Lans Griefer Thorpe & Rottenstreich LLP.
But a source told us on Monday, “The company no longer represents Kanye West.”
West’s representatives and his former lawyers Clair and Cohen – whose clients were Melinda Gates, Chris Rock and Judith Nathan during their divorce from Red Giuliani – did not reach out to us.
In one of his most high-profile cases, Cohen helped 58-year-old Gates move away from divorcing Bill Gates from estimated settlement at approximately $ 76 billion.
Cohen and Clair were West’s fifth law firm in the divorce case, as the billionaire had represented him through the lawyer’s revolving door for the past year and a half.
Kardashian, 42, filed for divorce from the West in February 2021, and the former couple were declared single in March 2022. However, discussions continue about the finances and care of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
Last week, 45-year-old Ye was removed from Twitter and Instagram for hateful news about Jews.
After his comments Kardashian published a statement to her Instagram coverage on Monday, writing: “Hate speech is never right or justified. I stand with the Jewish community and call for an immediate end to the terrible violence and the hateful rhetoric against them. “
In addition, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner have published a statement that comes from Jessica Seinfeld Instagram which reads: “I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people.”
