Kanye West met with the editor of Vogue after the reaction of “White Lives Matter”
Kanye West named Vogue fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson his “sister” after he attacked her for criticizing his “White Lives Matter” T-shirts.
“GABBY IS MY SISTER” wrote on Instagram Tuesday night, also sharing a photo of Karefa-Johnson.
“I DIDN’T LET PEOPLE WALK TO BED, THINKING I DIDN’T MEET TODAY AT 5PM FOR 2 HOURS, THEN WE HAVE DINNER TO FERDIE (a popular Italian restaurant in New York).”
The founder of “Yeezy” claimed that their meeting was filmed by Baz Luhrmann, the director of “Elvis,” at the request of Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Rapper “Donda” also claimed that they later posed for pictures, but was “instructed not to publish them.”
In his post, Ye claimed that he felt that Karefa-Johnson was being “used” by her company “to speak to my expression” – which she denied.
“We apologized to each other for the way we made us feel like we really got along and we both survived the struggle for acceptance in a world that is not our own,” he wrote.
The rapper ended the message saying, “SHE DIDN’T AGREE, WE DON’T AGREE. AT LEAST BOTH WE LOVE FERDIE AND FASHION. “
While West seems to be trying to rectify the situation, Gigi Hadid quickly interceded for her friend – once again – correcting rapper “It’s Gabriella *”.
Vogue also confirmed Ye and Karefa-Johnson met on Tuesday before condemning his treatment of their employee on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Vogue is working with Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, our global fashion editor and longtime collaborator. She was personally attacked and intimidated. It’s unacceptable, “the magazine wrote in a statement.
“Now more than ever, voices like hers are needed, and in her private encounter with Ye, she once again told the truth in the way she felt best, on her terms.”
Ye’s latest disagreement began after a Vogue editor hailed West’s White Lives Matter projects as “untenable behavior” while she sat in the front row at his Paris show.
“I’m furious … collecting my thoughts …”, she wrote via her Instagram Story along with a video about her reaction to the fashion show.
“I think I understand what he was trying to do,” he thought was a ghostampian. There was no “- she wrote in another report on Instagram. “He did not land and was deeply offensive, brutal and dangerous.”
“There is no excuse, there is no art here,” she continued. “I think if you asked Kanye, he would say there was art, there was revolution and all these things in this T-shirt. There isn’t.
After watching her Stories, Ye became interested in the fashion choices of the editor of Vogue.
“She’s not in fashion,” West described the deleted photo of Karefa-Johnson in brown boots, a striped knitted skirt, a yellow graphic T-shirt and a corduroy trench coat with bold details.
In a separate post, he took a close-up of the shoes and wrote, “I KNOW THAT ANNA HAAAA THESE BOOTS” referring to Wintour.
Karefa-Johnson was not the only person to protest against West’s latest election.
The rapper’s longtime business partner, Jason Lee, severed all ties with the designer by following the latest antics.
“I love Ye as a person and I support freedom of speech. But it is gaslighting black people and empowering white supremacy. I’m not sure if he has any other friends to tell him, but it’s totally disappointing, “Hollywood Unlocked host wrote on Instagram.
“I’m going to exercise my freedom of speech and I’ll say no black people have ever said white life doesn’t matter. But when blacks do it, it just screams about the need for white validation. “
