Katie Couric encourages Jenny Mollen to get a mammogram
Jenny Mollen needed Katie Couric to remind her of the annual mammogram.
The actress documented her experience with a doctor on Friday after Couric, recently diagnosed with breast cancer, reminded her to undergo an examination.
“I’m here to do the annual mammogram because Katie Couric texted me and told me it was time,” Mollen, 43, said in an Instagram report.
βI’m a month late, usually early, usually in all this shit. But it’s the scariest day of the year for me, I’m always going crazy. “
The mother of two revealed that her husband, Jason Biggs, was there to calm her nerves after she felt she had a “panic attack” waiting for her to visit.
Fortunately, the visit was successful and Mollen shared a photo of her negative results in another Instagram story.
The author of “Live Fast Die Hot” followed her story with picture her naked breasts undergoing an examination, which she jokingly called “#OOTD” (dress of the day).
Mollen was praised in the photo’s comment section for showing how easy it is to get an annual check.
“Well done !!!! Crushing our ta-tas is SO IMPORTANT !!!!!” commented TV journalist Kit Hoover.
βI literally look at this image when I’m on my phone, making my annual app! Girlz u gotta go. πβ€οΈ βadded another follower.
Couric also joined the post, writing: βI love you @jennymollen ππ VERY proud of you to go check! Xoxo #iscreenyouscreen “.
A 65-year-old journalist revealed in the essay announced on Wednesday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in June after waiting six months for an annual mammogram.
“I felt sick and the room started spinning,” she recalled the moment she heard the news before she urged other women to get a mammogram.
βI cannot say how many times in this experience I thanked God that it was 2022. And how many times in silence I thanked all the dedicated scientists who have worked to develop better ways to analyze and treat breast cancer. Continued the former host of Today.
“But to reap the benefits of modern medicine, we must stay on top of our screening, defend ourselves, and make sure everyone has access to diagnostic tools that can very well save their lives.”
Although Mollen does not have breast cancer, she revealed that doctors found several cysts in her breast – which they assured was common.
