Keke Palmer reveals life-changing sex advice from Whoopi Goldberg
Whoopi Goldberg may have the answer to anything.
The ‘Ghost’ actress shared her wisdom with colleague Keke Palmer on how to keep warm between the sheets.
Palmer, 29, revealed this during a recent episode “Honey, this is Keke Palmer” podcast.in which she said the advice she received from the “Sister Act” star changed her life.
Acknowledging that she often viewed sex as a “service” to her partner, the “Nope” star was asked to adopt a fresh perspective while appearing on “The View”.
“My identity with sex has always been, ‘Oh, I just have to do this service,'” the former Disney Channel star explained. “And my joy, whatever joy I had in that era, in that moment, in that time, came from, ‘I’m glad they’re happy.’
“It was depressing and not enough because I realized like, ‘Well, wait a goddamn second… that’s not it,’ you know what I’m saying?”
The actress continued, “It’s been a journey of figuring out what works for me. I remember, I’ll never forget, I was on The View once and they had a sex talk, really great talk, and Whoopi Goldberg said, “Please just start pleasing yourself.” And I was like, “That sounds real.”
The ‘Alice’ star said she now prefers a more emotional relationship as she gets closer to her partner.
“There was a point in my life when I thought simulated sex in porn – because that’s what it sounds like to me, porn: simulated sex – was something that could be interesting or fun,” she explained.
“But I’ve never really had a happy ending, if I’m being, you know, slightly honest. I was able to achieve a true happy ending only thanks to a more modest, calmer and more emotional approach.”
For years, Palmer preferred to keep quiet about her private life. However, last year she went on Instagram with Darius Jackson and talk to Bustle about him.
“It’s the happiest feeling I’ve ever felt with someone,” she told her new suitor in March. “Then why would I do everything in my power to hide this person? It’s a lot more work than just living in my life and being in my life.”
