“I don’t want to ventilate a lot of the family’s laundry,” emphasized Rick. – But to know, it didn’t start with Kelly.
Rick further shared that after he started dating Dodd in 2019, they both ended up on “the same page” about how Veronica was “trying to manipulate” the situation.

Rick had previously claimed his relationship with his daughter had deteriorated prior to his relationship with Dodd whom he married in October 2020.
“My problems with my eldest daughter go back years. This isn’t about Kelly, “he wrote on Instagram commentary in the midst of Weronika’s wedding drama.
“If and when my daughter is ready to apologize and talk to me, we will work to fix our relationship,” he continued. “In the meantime, she can live the rest of her life knowing that she has excluded me (and my wife) from her wedding. This is my daughter, not Kelly.
In a separate statement to Page Six, Rick said he was “sure” that most people “can identify with problems” in their own family.
“My problems with my eldest daughter have been dragging on for many years. I wish it had happened. I will not go into detail about everything that happened, but I will say that the lines of communication were always open, “the statement reads.
“She chose not to call and we believe she didn’t invite Kelly and me to her wedding to hurt us. She is an adult woman and will have to live with her decision. We wish her all the best. “
