Kenya and Phaedra “got along” at Teresa’s wedding
Cynthia Bailey says there was no bad blood between Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks at Teresa Giudice’s wedding.
“Everyone had a great time. Everyone came in peace, even Phaedra and Kenya,” says the Real Housewives of Atlanta graduate Page Six, promoting her upcoming appearance on E! Celebrity Beef.
Bailey, 55, insists that her former castmates – who infamously fought for several seasons of “RHOA” – “really got along” at the wedding of Giudice and Luisa “Louie” Ruelas on August 6.
Just a few days earlier, 48-year-old Parks had mentioned her conflict in season 6 with 51-year-old Moore, which culminated in a scathing encounter that eight years later found new life on social media.
Parks – who once believed Moore was flirting with her ex-husband, Apollo Nida, by text message – memorably accused the former Miss USA of “breaking through sperm banks” because the latter planned to have a child of her own. (Moore vehemently denied both sets of claims.)
Today, current Atlanta star Moore shares a daughter, Brooklyn, 3, with her separated husband, Mark Dali. Meanwhile, Parks, who left the show in 2017, shares his sons, Ayden, age 12, and Dylan, age 9, with Nida, age 43.
“At that point, I was very frustrated because our relationship, Kenya and I, was so turbulent,” Parks recalled, “and I just got to the boil.”
According to Bailey, the ladies have abandoned their drama in the past, celebrating Giudice’s “I dos”.
“It was Teresa’s day,” he says, noting that OG’s 50-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey has gathered celebrities from across the Bravo-verse for her lavish romance.
“There have been so many other Housewives from so many other franchises,” he continues. “It was almost like being at BravoCon, but on a smaller level.”
Also attended by New York City’s Jill Zarin, Miami’s Alexia Echevarria, Dubai’s Chanel Ayan, and Giudice’s New Jersey buddies, Bailey saw Moore for the first time since collided with Peacock. “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” season 1.
“I have to admit, it was good to see her. The thing with true friendships is that no matter what happens in these friendships, when you see them again, you just say, “Oh my God, hello” as if nothing ever happened, “says the founder of CB VIOR.
“It was very good to see her, reconnect, find out what was happening to her and let her know what was happening to me.”
Actress Terror Lake Drive says she appreciated Moore’s sympathetic response to the news that her mother, Barbara Bailey, was recently diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.
“I had the opportunity to talk to Kenya a bit about my mom and she was really concerned,” she explains.
With early detection during her annual mammogram, Barbara is expected to fully recover from undergoing a lumpectomy next week followed by radiation therapy, says Cynthia. Currently, Barbara’s treatment plan does not include chemotherapy.
“Like any great friend, Kenya is always there – especially when it’s important,” adds the CEO of the Bailey Agency. “So it was good to see her and reunite. We are definitely good again.
Cynthia has become a professional in beef crushing.
She proves this in Tuesday’s episode of Celebrity Beef, where she reunites with sitcom legend Todd Bridges – whom she memorably sparred earlier this year on Celebrity Big Brother.
The pair present their explosive confrontation on camera from a reality series as they head to head in a culinary contest mediated by host Joel McHale.
“We got the chance to come full circle, which I thought was important for our fans to see us together and realize that we are now friends. We went through the experience, we went to the other side, and it was just a fun way to reunite, ”says Cynthia.
“I had the biggest blast with him and it got really hot. But now that we’ve left the house, she’s one of the people I’m closest to. Todd Bridges and I talk all the time.
Celebrity Beef aired Tuesdays 22:00 ET on E!
