Kid Cudi had a stroke in rehab in 2016
Kid Cudi was honest about his health concerns that forced him to move away from music.
Within interview with Esquire, The rapper revealed that two weeks after being admitted to rehab, he suffered a stroke due to depression and drug addiction.
The 38-year-old said he must be hospitalized after a stroke disrupted his speech and movements, saying “everything was fucked up.”
After a month of physical rehabilitation, Cudi finally felt like a breakthrough when he auditioned for the Broadway play “Lobby Hero” with Michael Cera.
“Mr. Rager “had to remember a lot of dialogue for a role that eventually ended up in a different actor. Despite this, Cudi himself felt like a winner.
“I proved to myself that I can do it. I needed it at that time, ”he said in the newspaper. “I was happy. Shit, my brain is still strong. I haven’t lost anything about what happened.
During the same interview, rapper “Pursuit of Happiness” opened up about an ongoing dispute with ex-friend Kayne West. Cudi said he wanted rapper “Donda” to be a “grown man” and would accept Kim Kardashian’s divorce.
“If you can’t be a grown man and come to terms with the fact that you lost your woman? This is not my fucking problem. You have to admit your shit like every man in this life, “he said, adding,” I’ve lost women too. ” And I had to admit it. I don’t need this in my life. “
The couple’s disagreement began last year when Kardashian was dating comedian Pete Davidson – one of Cudi’s good friends.
Given their close friendship, West cut the rapper – whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi – from his album “Donda 2”.
This decision pissed off rapper “Day ‘N’ Nite”, who claims that fixing their relationship after it took a toll on his mental health would require artists to “miracle-mother-king.”
“Do you know what it’s like to wake up one day, look at your social media and gain popularity because someone says something about you?” he explained. “And then this person’s trolls sent you messages on Instagram and Twitter? All in your comments?
Mescudi has a long history as mental health advocate – something he is very proud of.
“It’s a lot of pressure, but it keeps me alive. So I’ll take it. This doesn’t stress me out, “he said in the paper when asked if he would ever” get tired “of being a mental health advocate.
– It makes me think, ‘No, Scott. You must be here. Let old age take you away. “
