Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she went through five failed IVF cycles and three egg retrieval attempts before she and Travis Barker conceived their 6-month-old son Rocky.

She shared this personal message in response to a fan’s question about how she found the “strength to keep going” amidst her struggles.

“I stopped after a year of trying (5 failed IVF cycles, 3 repeat treatments), my body relaxed and I believed in God’s plan for my life,” wrote the Poosh founder in her Monday Instagram story.

“A lot of prayers for what was meant to be for us,” she continued. “I also do a lot of optimizing my health. 🙏🏻❤️.”

Encouraging a fan who said she went through six rounds of IVF, Kardashian, 45, added: “I know how hard it is to feel like you’re not trying, but having faith in God’s plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best!”

They have been open about their journey to conception from the beginning, and during the premiere season of “The Kardashians” on Hulu, they revealed that they were trying to conceive.

The couple, who married in May 2022 in a courthouse in Santa Barbara, California, also spoke openly about the unconventional ways they tried to increase their chances of getting pregnant.

For example, during the first season of “The Kardashians,” Kardashian said her fertility doctor suggested she drink the Blink-182 drummer’s semen four times a week.

By December 2022, she and Barker confirmed on the popular reality show that they were taking a break from in vitro fertilization, and later announced that they would try to get pregnant naturally.

After undergoing “emergency fetal surgery” that saved Rocky’s life in September, Kardashian gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She went on to describe motherhood as “the most important job in the world.”

Rocky joins Kardashian’s three children, whom she shares with her ex Scott Disick: Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9.

Meanwhile, Barker shares Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. He also raised Moakler’s daughter, Atiana, 25, from a previous relationship, who remains close to her.
