Kris Jenner to the rescue.

Kim Kardashian could spend endless hours sweating in the gym and bleaching her hair to dress up as Marilyn Monroe for the Met Gala 2022 red carpet, but it would never have happened without her mom’s help.

On Thursday’s episode of Hulu’s “Kardashians”, fans learned how 67-year-old Jenner convinced Ripley’s Believe Ir or Not! museum to lend my daughter the one-of-a-kind “naked” dress that Monroe wore to sing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President ”to John F. Kennedy in 1962.

“They wouldn’t let me wear this dress. They wouldn’t even let me try it on – until Kris Jenner called, ‘Kardashian, 42, explained in the confessional.

“I thought,” Please, Mom, if that happens, I’ll marry you, “she added in a mocking voice. “I’d do anything.”

When asked how she affected the museum team, Jenner just laughed.

“I can’t tell you my secrets,” she said. “But if someone says no, you know what I’m saying: you’re talking to the wrong person.”

And while Ripley agreed to let Kardashian borrow the dress, she could only wear it while walking the red carpet, which meant she had to change into it on the spot and then immediately swap it for a replica before going to the party itself.

“All of this – this weight loss, dyeing your hair for 30 hours, leaving the hotel in a bathrobe, getting there, changing to the red carpet, just switching to the red carpet and then changing back into a replica dress because we can’t risk it.” sitting in it and eating dinner – that’s all for about 10 minutes of my life … that’s all, “mused Kardashian on the show.

Yet this red carpet moment – and the resulting controversy – will live on forever.

Yet her influence – and the criticism of her decisions, plus accusations of damage – will live on forever.
