Kyle Richards’ daughter Farrah on ‘painful’ Hilton family feud
Farrah Brittany has shared her thoughts on Kyle Richards’ mum’s ongoing feud with older half-sister Kathy Hilton.
In a new interview entitled podcast “#NoFilter with Zack Peter”.The 34-year-old ‘Buying Beverly Hills’ star noted that her close relationship with her cousin Paris Hilton – 63-year-old Kathy’s eldest daughter – makes the situation particularly difficult.
“It’s too painful,” Brittany said, adding that she and Paris, 41, avoid the topic when they get together.
“We’re both very protective of our mums – but we’re also very, very close. If we let that disrupt our dynamic, it would just be too painful and too difficult to unravel.”
The real estate professional – who works as an agent at the Agency under her stepfather, Mauricio Umanksa – said she and Paris “let our moms do their thing” and together try to “hush up” the disagreement.
“Hopefully everything will be fine soon,” Brittany said. “It’s really hard to deal with.”
Paris was particularly involved in the drama in September. The “Stars Are Blind” singer liked disparaging tweets about her 53-year-old Aunt Richards, after she and other “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast members were accused of “mocking” Kathy for promoting the tequila brand.
“So unkind,” Paris tweeted, as a fan said it was “sad to watch” Richards “sneer” when Kathy tried to show off Casa Del Sol – for which the socialite is an investor – on a group trip to Aspen in Colorado.
Brittany told host Zack Peter that she was tempted to publicly defend her own mother as well.
“Before I just thought, ‘Mom, who cares what anyone says? Like anything,” she said. “[But] this last season of her show, I was very excited. I wanted to answer every person and just say, “You don’t know everything, you just don’t know.”
Brittany also explained that she is concerned about the influx of hate Richards has received this season from die-hard Kathy supporters.
“And it bothers me that she has given so much over the years and been so loved and loved,” she said of her mother, who has been playing “RHOBH” since its 2010 release.
“But people, this audience is so fickle; they want to see what they want to see, if they like certain people, they can do it wrong,” Brittany explained. “If they turn against you, there’s nothing you can do right, and the part is, where is the loyalty?”
