La La Anthony supports club 9 Jones of ex-husband Carmelo
Maybe La La Anthony divorced Carmelo Anthony, but it looks like she still supports him.
The former Knicks star belongs to the group of investors behind the new semi-private club 9 Jones. And we carry his ex-wife who lent her star power at the opening ceremony.
On Wednesday she attended a spot show in Greenwich Village, popping in “around 8:45 with a small group.”
“They decided to enter through the main entrance to get a feel for the atmosphere before being escorted to a private room,” said the Page Six insider.
Carmelo also briefly popped in at her new place, we were told.
Meanwhile, La La’s brother Christian Vasquez and nightlife veteran Richard Wheeler, both partners at 9 Jones, joined her and her crew.
The former basketball player LA Lakers and the New York Knicks he collaborated with some of the New York nightlife pros from clubs like 1Oak and Greenhouse in the new venue. In addition to Wheeler and Vasquez, partners are also Yiannis Vasilas and Josh Angel.
Sources previously told Page SIx: “Everyone is very committed. There will be private parts, but they will be mostly open to the public. “
Membership of the club is by invitation only and its private part includes its own entrance for an elite clientele.
Our informant told us that La La was overheard saying she “felt at home”.
The couple broke up in 2018 and made up their minds, but La La filed for divorce in 2021.
The restaurant will officially open to the public on November 9.
