Lana Del Rey pleaded with fans not to listen to the leaked music after some of her valuables were stolen during a California crash and capture.
A 37-year-old resident of New York told fans that thieves had taken her backpack containing her computer, multiple hard drives and a camera.
“A few months ago I parked my car on Melrose Place – Melrose Ave, actually. in Los Angeles – and I walked away for a while, ”she said in the now removed Live video on Instagram Wednesday.
“And once I left my backpack in the car, someone broke all the windows and took it away.”
The singer was in the process of writing a book for publishing giant Simon & Schuster, but revealed that among the stolen items was a 200-page manuscript as well as a camera full of irreplaceable family videos.
“I had to remotely wipe the computer that hosted my 200-page book for Simon and Schuster – which I didn’t back up to the cloud,” she said.
“Even so, people can still access my phone remotely and upload our songs and personal photos. I loved the book that I lost with all my heart and put a lot of passion into it. “
The hit-maker “Ride”, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, said her ninth studio album was also loaded onto a stolen laptop, making the situation even more stressful.
The singer and songwriter said she was “sure” the album would finally be officially released after last year’s album titled “Blue Banisters”, but admitted she had to “start over”.
“I just want to mention that despite all of this, I’m sure the record will be set – despite so many security factors on so many different levels. I really want to persevere and record the best possible album, ”she said.
She then urged fans to ignore everything that was leaked, including new music and personal recordings.
“Please don’t listen to the music if you can hear it, because it’s not coming out yet,” she said.
“Of course, I will never leave anything in the car again, even if only for a moment. But we had the same problems at home and this is permanent. And while I am very grateful to be able to share all the good things, I also want to share that it was a challenge. “
