Lea Michele omits “Funny Girl” due to possible COVID-19

COVID-19 has it was raining at her parade.

Lea Michele shared in Instagram story that he will not be performing on Saturday night’s “Funny Girl” production due to “early signs” of the coronavirus.

“I am devastated to say that due to the early signs and symptoms of COVID and the inconclusive test result – due to production safety protocols, I am not allowed to appear at today’s shows,” Glee alumna wrote, noting that she planned to re-test and will update fans as soon as he knows more.

Michele, 36, had previously posted a message on Instagram after her first Broadway appearance as Fanny Brice earlier this week.

“I know I’ve said this before, but it was really the greatest honor to join this cast. I am very grateful to everyone involved in this production. “

Michele took over the role of Fanny from Beanie Feldstein after the actress stepped down dramatically earlier than expected. Feldstein, who received mixed reviews for her performance, announced her early departure on social media where she mysteriously wrote about producers choosing to “take the show in a different direction.”

Michele, who has a reputation in Hollywood as a diva and has been summoned by former cast mates for nasty behavior, reportedly goes out of her way to be kind to the cast and crew.

“She’s so nice that she makes Julie Andrews look like a female dog,” a Page Six source said.

In a recent interview, Michele blamed her past behavior on a “really tough” work ethic.
