Lea Michele pokes fun at rumors she can’t read on TikTok

When a Cheerful girl gets a TikTok account, fun ensues.

In the final days of the COVID-19 quarantine, in the midst of a 10-day absence from the Broadway musical she recently joined, Lea Michele debuted on the social network and published two videos, including mocking long-standing rumors about herself: that she allegedly cannot read or write.

The actress, who dismissed the rumors a few weeks ago, calling them “sad.” New York Times interview, wrote in Tik Tokposted on September 18, “Calling Jonathan to read me the comments on my first TikTok,” referring to her bestie and ex Spring awakening and Joy co-star Jonathan Groff. She signed the clip “Lol”.

Michele’s video parodies a scene from an episode of the former reality series E! of 2017 Keeping up with the Kardashianswhich originally showed Kim Kardashian during a tearful phone call to Girls Gone Wild founder and family friend, Joe Francis, while staying at his villa in Mexico. Looking upset, Michelle lip-syncs the words of the SKIMS founder: “This is amazing, but wait, can you talk for a minute?”
