Lindsay Lohan reacts to the death of Aaron Carter’s ex-boyfriend
Lindsay Lohan paid tribute to ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter, who died Saturday at 34.
“My heart goes to his family and may he rest in peace”, star “Fall for Christmas”, 36 years old, he said, “Entertainment Today.”
“And God bless him …” she added. “And yes, just [a] there’s a lot of love there. “
In separate interview “Access Hollywood”Lohan shared that she had cherished “so many” memories of her dating Carter in the early 2000s.
The singer of “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)” soon started seeing Lohan, he and his childhood friend Hilary Duff stopped their young romance.
In a 2005 CNBC interview, “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch,” Carter explained how his unresolved feelings for Duff, who is now 35, created a complex dynamic involving Lohan.
“I started dating Hilary on my 13th birthday. I was dating her for about a year and a half and then I got a little bored so I went and started getting to know Lindsay by dating Lindsay, ”he explained, adding that Duff“ really broke her heart ”which made him feel“ sorry ”.
“I didn’t want to do it then, so I came back with Hilary.”
Lohan and Carter reportedly were together between January 2002 and April 2003.
Around this time, Freaky Friday actress told People that everything was fine between her, Carter and Duff – despite the apparent love triangle.
“Aaron and I were friends. This is my past. You know, that was about a few months ago. He’s a nice guy, ”she told Access Hollywood as a teenager. “We are friends. Hilary is a lovely girl. I wish her all the best.”
For her part, Duff spoke on Saturday about Carter’s premature death.
“For Aaron – I’m so sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to fight against the world,” wrote the graduate Lizzie McGuire on Instagram this weekend.
“You had a charm that was absolutely sparkling … boy, did my teenage me love you very much.”
Duff ended his message by telling Carter to “rest easy” and that he was “sending love” to his mourning loved ones.
Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, struggled with addiction and family trauma in the last years of his life. He was found dead in a bathtub at his home in California.
“Aaron worked very hard towards the end of his life to recover, to be a good father and make amends to his family,” his Page Six representative said after the tragic news.
Aaron got engaged to Melanie Martin in 2020, and in 2021 they welcomed a son named Prince.
The cause of death has not yet been established.
