In a video she posted to her Twitter account, she conveyed her shock and fear, claiming that Bell Media’s termination of a more than 30-year contract was “blinding” her.

According to the CTC National News, LaFlamme’s contract was canceled due to changing ratings. She will be succeeded as lead anchor by national business correspondent Omar Sachedina. Omar feels privileged to follow the seasoned journalist.

There are reports that Lisa has started a new project, but the details are unclear and unreliable.

As a representative of PLAN International, Lisa traveled to remote locations to raise awareness of Canadian women’s rights for women in Afghanistan.
