Loretta Lynn died at the age of 90
Country singer Loretta Lynn, known from the hits “Coal Miner’s Daughter” and “You Ain’t Woman Enough”, is dead. She was 90 years old.
She died Tuesday at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, her family shared in a statement obtained by the Associated Press.
Lynn, the daughter of a Kentucky miner, made a name for herself by writing songs about a woman’s life and love in Appalachia.
As a mother of four, she began her career in the early 1960s singing about her pride in her Kentucky country upbringing.
