Man pleads guilty to manslaughter after hitting and killing Lisa Baines

At the time of Baines’ death, her manager David Williams issued a statement to NBC Newssaying that Baines’ family and friends were “deeply saddened by Lisa’s tragic and senseless death”.

“She was a woman of great spirit, kindness and generosity and devoted to her work, whether on stage or in front of the camera, and even more so to her wife, family and friends,” Williams said. “We were blessed to have her in our lives.”

A prolific actress who studied acting at Juilliard, she has appeared in Broadway productions such as Higher society, Rumors, Emphasis on youth and Modern laughter. On television, she periodically played in such shows as Six feet underground, Royal pains and nashvilleand also acted in such films as Writers of Freedom and Medicines for recovery. Baynes is survived by his wife Katherine Cranhold.
