Manny Khoshbin was born on January 14, 1971, in Iran and spent the majority of his childhood with his four siblings. In 1985, his family moved to California when he was 14 years old.
High School Life
At the age of 16, Manny started working at K-Mart for $3.15/hour collecting carts and sweeping floors. He was later promoted to an employee of the month four times and eventually to Sporting Goods Assistant Manager after only one year. He started off selling sweets and nuts door-to-door but quickly realized he could do it himself and make more money.
At the age of 18, Khoshbin began his first business during his senior year of high school by purchasing food in large quantities and selling it door to door. He sold primarily to auto retail/service outlets and performed well. He had to shut it down though after a health inspector visited and informed him that he required a license that he couldn’t afford.
Early Career
Khoshbin bought a petrol station from a friend of the family at a discount in 1991, using all of his savings. He joined “Century West Financial” as president and a broker. Khoshbin spent more than 6 years working for a successful real estate firm.
He worked as a broker with “Fidelity National Funding” in 1998 and was elected president of the company as well. He assumed leadership of what is likely his most lucrative business “The Khoshbin Company Inc.” in 2005.
Breakthrough
The Khoshbin Company eventually grew to own and manage over 205 million sq ft of revenue-generating real estate. He chose to quit Fidelity National Funding in 2008. Khoshbin’s Contrarian PlayBook was his first published work when he ventured into publishing. Khoshbin was named CEO of the internet publishing firm Fuzul.
